Vaccination Requirement for UMD Affiliates

Dear UMD Affiliates and Affiliate Sponsors,
In accordance with our campus vaccination requirements for students, faculty, and staff, affiliates who are on campus one or more days per week and interacting with UMD students, faculty, or staff are required to be vaccinated prior to the start of the fall 2021 semester.
Getting Vaccinated
We encourage everyone to
get vaccinated as soon as possible and no later than August 2, to ensure the requirement is met before the fall semester begins. To be considered fully vaccinated, affiliates who are covered by the vaccination requirement as stated above should ensure that they have received their second dose of the Pfizer or Moderna vaccine, or a single dose of the Johnson and Johnson vaccine on or before August 2. Please keep in mind that, depending on the type of vaccine, you may need to receive your first dose by July 6.
The Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson vaccines have been extensively tested for both safety and efficacy. The vaccines have met Food and Drug Administration (FDA) safety standards and are being carefully monitored to detect any problems or side effects.

To confirm your vaccination status, go to
return.umd.edu and click on ‘Confirm Vaccination Status.’ Follow the process to verify your COVID-19 vaccine or to access forms to request a medical or religious exemption.
