We are TerrapinStrong

The TerrapinSTRONG onboarding initiative for incoming students, faculty and staff embodies UMD’s vision of an inclusive environment where every person feels that they belong and is empowered to reach their full potential.

MICA

Office of Multicultural Involvement & Community Advocacy

The office supports and advocates for UMD’s historically marginalized communities by providing opportunities and spaces that affirm identities, build inclusive communities and create social change.

ADS supports students with all kinds of disabilities, coordinating academic, housing and student employment accommodations to ensure Terps have equal access to education.

This program provides resources to help students with ADHD manage their time, set and accomplish goals, reduce stress and prepare for success beyond graduation.

This program helps neurodivergent college students and college-bound high schoolers understand others, express themselves and navigate academic and campus life without losing their individuality.

Funded by $40 million over 10 years, this initiative aims to add over 100 new tenured or tenure-track faculty from underrepresented backgrounds in units across campus.
