COPPA

The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) includes certain requirements for operators of websites and/or online services in order to protect the privacy and online safety of children under 13 years of age. The University of Maryland is not itself regulated by COPPA, however an educational technology service provider is regulated by COPPA if and when it collects certain types of information from children under 13.
